Bluekit(star) loved her mother and twin sister very much. When she first opened her eyes to the world, she saw how beautiful her mother was; especially her flowing silver hair that went down to her ankles. She and her sister Snowkit(fur) thought that they would grow their hair out to be as long and beautiful as their mothers'. By the time she was 11 years old (about 6 1/2 moons in the books) her hair was down to her waist (as was Snowpaw[kit/fur's]) But her mother died in battle and she and Snowpaw felt so devestated. Bluepaw was threatening to cut her hair all off, but Snowpaw stopped her. As the years go by, things change and their hair grows longer; down to their mid-thighs. Snowfur (18) had a son in this time. But Snowfur got in a car accident, not long after Bluefur starts harboring feelings Oakheart(21), a Riverclan Warrior. Bluestar is the one to tell Whitekit(Snowfur's son) that his mother is dead. She, again wants to cut her hair. But this time, Oakheart is the one to stop her. He says he loves her long blue hair; it makes her very unique and beautiful. She and Oakheart mate and have kits (which is forbidden) and Bluefur takes them to Oakheart. On the way one kit (Mosskit) dies; Bluefur is in agony from the loss of her daughter. Once again she tries to cut her hair, which is down to her knees. Her children, Mistykit and Stormkit (2) stop her this time, saying that they wouldn't remember who she was if she didn't have her long hair. Many years pass,; her children are grown young adults(17) and she is the leader of Thunderclan. Oakheart (35) dies in battle, and that's when she loses it. She finally cuts her hair, which was finally down to her ankles, and as if she has pulled a giant weight (almost literally) off her shoulders, once her long hair is gone, she finally feels at ease.
